We have 6 beautiful and individually designed double or twin rooms, 4 of which have stunning views over Elie Bay.

We have three prices of rooms.  Our Admiral room, on the top floor with its fantastic view over the bay and its bathroom with its roll top bath and walk in shower, is our largest and most expensive room.  There are three Captain’s rooms which all have fantastic Elie bay facing views and en suite showers.  Our two Superior rooms are slightly smaller but still appointed to the same high standard.  Both these rooms allow dogs.  One superior room is on the ground floor with an en suite shower and the other one is at the back of the building and has a bath with a shower over it.  All our rooms can be configured as either double or twin.

Each room has complimentary bathroom products from Siabann, Nespresso machines and a beautiful tea selection from The Tea Lovers’ Company, Egyptian cotton bed linen and thick large towels.  They also have flat screen freeview televisions, free wi-fi and docking stations.  Our ground floor superior room allows dogs and there is a £15 charge for per dog per stay. It is possible to have an extra bed in a few of our rooms for children up to 12 years of age for a surcharge of £30 per night bed and breakfast, so please enquire directly if this is a requirement. If you book directly with us we can offer single occupancy discounts.

Prices range in 2019 from £100-£185 per room per night on a bed and breakfast basis.

** Throughout the high season and at other times of the year our superior rooms are the only rooms that are available to book through third party booking sites.  These rooms DO NOT have sea views.  If you would like a sea view you need to check on our own website for availability of our Captain or Admiral rooms or contact us directly. **

This was our second stay at the Ship which was every bit as good as the first. The rooms are really comfortable with great views over Elie beach. The food was first rate with an imaginative menu. For real relaxation we recommend a long beach walk followed by a long drink beside the log fire. Bliss.

As soon as you step inside this place you think you have fallen in to a smugglers’ den, but a very stylish one! The whole place is very atmospheric and immaculately presented. The food is excellent with an extensive choice of food. You can eat in the bar, the snug or the restaurant, and the staff are very friendly who cannot do too much for you. The breakfast was freshly prepared and excellent. The location is exceptional, being right on the beach. All-in-all a great place for a few days away.

We booked an overnight stay at the Ship Inn following a trip to St. Andrews as part of a birthday celebration for my husband. We can’t recommend it enough our stay, was fabulous, all the staff, especially Jordan & Grace couldn’t be more helpful & cheery. Our room was spotless & tastefully decorated, with excellent attention to detail- our bed was the comfiest we’ve ever slept in….Both our evening meal & breakfast were delicious, and as previously commented the gin selection was spot on. Thanks for a memorable end to our break & we’ll definitely be back in the near future.
